In this beginner to intermediate bookbinding workshop we will create lay flat journals with flexible Japanese paper covers that are sewn with a four needle coptic stitch.
That’s right! Four sewing needles at once! This may be intimidating to beginners, but is a simple structure once you get going. Basic bookbinding or sewing skills, and strong hand stills are a must for this class. Reach out if you have any questions. (lisa@antlereditions.com)

Students will leave with materials to make another book at home. I think it’s important to send students home ready to go onto their next book because materials prep is one of the hardest hurdles in bookbinding.
