Stitched Journals

Stitched Journals
A great beginner class for people interested in learning bookbinding techniques they can easily recreate at home. This class is great for those of you who have been learning on YouTube but still feel as though you have a lot of questions. Learn about tools. paper types, and how and where to purchase supplies.
Artists can learn to bind their own sketchbooks, poets can learn to bind their own writing, crafty people can dip their hands into another medium! In this class we will explore four different journals with different stitching and cover techniques.
Students will go home with a variety of blank journals and the knowledge they need to continue the practice at home. Students should be able to thread and handle a needle, and be able to read a ruler. Materials and tools provided.
Max class size 4.
Class will take place Sunday December 7th 9am-1pm.
This class is during Cottage Street Open Studios. Start your morning with a class, and then spend the day wandering around the other artist studios in the building!
